We have used the services of Paul Szafarz (Paul-Can-Do) for two homes.  Paul’s services covered a wide variety of complex and significant building renovation projects including: designing and constructing a Lanai roof extension, an exterior room addition, an extensive renovation of a kitchen and family room and a driveway expansion.  These involved intricate architectural details of adding transom windows, built in cabinetry, a coffered ceiling, closet build-outs, extensive decorative finishes, wall paper and electrical work.  In each case Paul’s attention to detail, sense of aesthetics, quality and on-time delivery met our best expectations.  Paul is resourceful and employs quality staff and sub-contractors.  When he says “Paul can do it”, he really means it.  Many unique challenges were met with creative solutions and a positive attitude.  Furthermore, for years after a project Paul is responsible and available.  We would not hesitate to use Paul on any project, large or small, in the future.

I just wanted to take the time and write a review about my experience with Paul Can Do Inc. When my husband and I purchased our first home back in 2009, it needed a lot of work as it was a foreclosure. My husband is pretty handy but there were some things that he just wasn’t capable of doing himself as well as time constraints. A friend of our that is a Property Manager for a home on John’s Island referred us to Paul Can Do.

When we met with Paul we immediately hit it off and decided that we were going to jump right in and hire him to do the work. We we’re completely satisfied with his work upon completion. The work that he did was a total demolition/remodel of our master bath, there was existing termite damage through out the house that had to be addressed and a few windows needed replacement. Paul and his crew completed the work within the time frame we had given. Throughout the entire process he was polite, courtesy, listened, gave suggestions, and answered all questions. He is a very creative man!

Paul just completed our kitchen remodel last month and we couldn’t be any more pleased with the results. The kitchen remodel was unexpected as our garbage disposal flooded our kitchen cabinets. Eventually we will have new floors put in and Paul has given us many options and routes that we can take when we are ready for that.

We just finished a total renovation of a courtyard home in Orchid Island with Paul and only had three months in which to complete it.  New kitchen, new baths, moving walls, new flooring throughout, interior and exterior painting, just to name the major items….. Sounds impossible, right?  We all knew it was going to be a very tight schedule, and yet Paul took on the project and got it done, against all odds.  Yes, Paul CAN DO indeed. 

 

It was an extremely hectic and stressful time for us, with major decisions needing to be made on a daily and sometimes hourly basis, and there is no one that we would have wanted by our side during this process than Paul.  From start to finish, he kept us grounded, he was a man of his word, full of great ideas, always enthusiastic and hard working, always respectful of us and of all the people who worked on the project.  And, above all, he always managed to defuse/resolve any issues or problems that invariably crop up during a major renovation with good humor and quick thinking. 

 

Bottom line: We truly could not have done it without him – and certainly not while keeping our sanity intact!   Thank you so much, PCD!”
